This guest story comes from my brother, who travelled from the Netherlands to Furudal by train this September, with stops in Hamburg, Copenhagen and V\u00e4xj\u00f6 along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most non-Swedish guests fly to Stockholm and rent a car to go to Furudal. But you can also travel in a more sustainable way. And if you\u2019re lucky, you arrive at Marcusg\u00e5rd already relaxed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I bought an Interrail Senior Pass and this September I got on the train from The Hague to Hamburg, where I went to a concert in the spectacular Elbphilharmonie<\/a>, with a view over the beautiful harbour city. Then I travelled on to Copenhagen, where I saw a ballet performance in the posh, old-fashioned Royal DanishTheatre<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My third stop was V\u00e4xj\u00f6<\/a>, a university city with a surprisingly beautiful cathedral, adorned with a modern glass altarpiece. And on my fourth travel day, I reached my final destination: Furudal.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There I enjoyed the beautiful autumn colours, the silence of the forest and the warm hospitality<\/a> of Mireille and Willem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now I am on my way to Stockholm where I had planned, advised by AI, to take the night train to Berlin. Unfortunately, when I tried to book it, I found out that this train doesn\u2019t run today \ud83d\ude1f. So I\u2019ll have to fly after all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conclusion: don\u2019t shy away from going to Furudal by train, but don\u2019t rely too much on AI either.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
