Our holiday homes<\/a> were filled the last few days, with my (Willem) family visiting us. A so-called Terstegen-weekend, which meant a weekend full of memories, stories, good food and activities. Besides some walks from our own issued booklet: \u201c8 trails to walk around Ore\/Furudal\u201d, we choose to visit the Falun copper mine with its recently modernized museum and had lunch at restaurant Geshwornerg\u00e5rden.<\/p>\n

Unlike me, my family is very sporty: yoga, horse riding, mountain biking\/cycling, and football. To let them watch and experience a typical Swedish sport, preferably nearby, should fit them perfectly. We found it in our village: ice hockey! Lucky for us, we could go to the home match of IFK Ore<\/a> last Friday. Of course, we had been to Furudal\u2019s Ice Hall before, but never to a real game.<\/p>\n

Enthusiastic family members: The game had everything from speed, action, and spectacle framed with music, some sticks flying around, and some fine smashes against the wall. Fortunately, the home team won the match. The atmosphere in the ice hall was good. Between the 20-minute play periods, you could buy a snack and a drink at the kiosk.<\/p>\n

At the end of the match, we all agreed that more tourists should go to the Furudals arena and experience ice hockey the Swedish way: a must if you visit Sweden!<\/p>\n

The family weekend is already over. All family members left the buildings this morning (except us, of course). As always, when family and friends leave us after some fun and lively days, it makes us a little melancholic, like the empty nest syndrome. But don\u2019t worry\u2014that\u2019s just for one day.
