Who could have thought of that 4 years ago when we moved to Sweden and started something in the tourist industry. Over the years we have received many satisfied guests in our holiday homes and we looked for opportunities for expansion that should match us and our concept. Fortunately, we have found them and finally, they are ready and bookable: our Supermåne and the Oddis Öga. For us @Näsets Marcusgård quite a journey that lasted a year.
It started last October with Jason from Tree Tents International’s visit to find out if our forest was suitable and whether the cabins could be adapted to our Scandinavian climate. Our next step was finding out what and who we all needed for the realization of our idea. You should then think of funding, grant application and permits.
Eventually, we have worked us through everything and at the end of September, the British crew arrived in Furudal with our two cabins all packed in just one van! They left again after a week of hard work. It was really quiet after all that cosy whistle and the English humor. With some help from the neighbourhood, we made everything ready in the last weeks. We will send out a press release tomorrow and look forward to receiving many nice new guests.
By the way, we’ve tried those beauties our selves and have had a great time. We slept and watched the starry sky through the panorama window in the Supermåne. In the Oddis Öga, the four of us just did a board game. Cosy, we lit the fire in the stove, had some chips and a glass of wine. In short, quality time with the four of us in your own forest. We slept wonderfully, it was not cold. But remember, like the Swedes say: kläder efter väder (get dressed for the weather)!
In any case, we already received enthusiastic responses from visitors from the village this period. a Big thank you for everybody who has supported us in the past period!
