Every day a different beach. It is possible here in Ore and the weather is great for it lately: 29°C warm. We already took a swim several times to cool down. Who would have guessed at the beginning of May, that more than a meter snow would immediately disappear into the ground. We all feared we should have a white midsummer here. Well, that can still happen, but it does not look like it right now in any case.
But back to those nice beaches in Ore. You’ll find more then enough to choose from. Here are our favorites:
- Svartviksbadet: Very idyllic bath in a small bay of the lake Oresjön. Dressing room, piers and diving tower.
- Sandnäsudde: Fine sandbeach in Näset, with a nice view over lake Skattungen.
- Roparbadet/Sydisand: Bathing place in the southern part of Oresjön. Sandy beach and bathing pier. BBQ area and wind protection available. Parking right by the beach.
- Säsvik: Long sandy beach in Furudal, with a view on the Ore church.
- Norruden: Nice little beach with dressing room, grill and picnic table.
Along the edges of lake Oresjön in Furudal, you also find some nice places to take a bath. Next to the boathouse, or the beaches next to the Hockey school. Enjoy your beach-hopping, which is most easily done on a mountain bike of course.
