For those who love and are passionate about retro and re-use and who want to decorate their homes personally. If you are tired of buying new, want to change to sustainable consumption, want to get inspired for something else, or think it is nice to lose yourself for a while in the 1950s, 1960s, or 1970s, here comes a golden opportunity! In collaboration with Furudals Retro, Susanne Bergvall, we have transformed and decorated our Fähus at Näsets Marcusgård with furniture and furnishings from that era.
The idea is that our guests will be inspired, be in another time for a while, enjoy the atmosphere and learn more about retro! Through a stay in the retro Fähus, you will get ideas and information about furnishing with retro. You’ll enjoy music from that decade (from a turntable), cook in retro style and stay overnight. You entertain yourself by playing Twister, dancing to ABBA, browsing old books, and letting your mood dominate.
Especially to those who like retro, are interested in home décor and like Christmas, we even host a retro-mingle in Christmas spirit on December the 14th (Saturday). During the mingling, Susanne talks about designers and the unique objects in our Fähus and the Swedish Christmas celebration in the last century. Kärsti from Snitths Hantverksbageri takes care of some finger food of bygone times. Those who want fresh air can also look at our forest cabins, which are furnished in retro style. Of course, there is also the opportunity to stay overnight with us.
Why we do this? In the winter months, we have physically and literally more room for special projects like this and we like to share knowledge. We were also inspired by the well-known Furudals Ice Hockey school, who is celebrating its 40th anniversary next year. Retro fits very well in the spirit of the times.
