A holiday, or just a few days away, we think should be something special, chances are you have saved for it and have been looking forward to it. That is why we, as hosts, play an important role in making your holiday as smoothly as possible for you when you have booked at our place at Näsets Marcusgård. We always try to do that, Corona times or not. That is why we have listed the most common questions we usually get in the form of an FAQ-list.

Where can I find your place?

A bit outside Furudal, which belongs to the municipality of Rättvik. By car: about 40 minutes to the north of Rättvik (which is located along Lake Siljan) in Dalarna.

I’ll come by train, is that possible?

Take the train to Rättvik and then take the bus to Furudal.  We work on easier possibilities, but those take time. If you have bad connection times, you can give us a call. At our place, you can make use of our bikes.

Can I park my car easily?

You can park for free and we have several options all close to where you will stay.

I have an electric car, can I charge it with you?

Yes, we will help you upon arrival.

Is it a problem when I arrive late?

We like to know in advance what time you expect to arrive, please let us know in advance via email or phone. If you expect to arrive late that is no problem, we live here ourselves and show you around.

Cykling

Do I have to bring bedding?

Bedding is included when you rent our Fähus, Oddis Öga or Supermåne. You can rent bedding for the Hölada, it cost you SEK 150 pp.

Do I need to bring basic things?

No, we take care of your basic supplies such as toilet paper, dish towels and basic products to make dinner with, like salt and pepper, coffee and tea are available. For anything extra you can go to our local shop in Furudal: Tempo Furudal.

Is cleaning included?

Yes, cleaning and hygiene have always been important to us, it was already and now we even go the extra mile and that is why we do it ourselves so that we can be sure that it is done correctly.

What about dinner?

The kitchens of the Fähus and Hölada are well equipped with everything to make a slow dinner or just an easy and quick one. During the colder seasons, everyone who stays in the forest cabins makes use of one of those kitchens. During the summer times, we have an outdoor kitchen available. Every place has its own BBQ.

What about breakfast when I stay in the woods?

When staying the night in the woods (just Supermåne and Oddis Öga), breakfast is included. During the winter we serve you (a simple) breakfast in one of the bigger houses, during the summer in the outdoor kitchen. Our breakfast is always vegetarian. We got many quests who are vegan whom we surprise with a delicious vegan breakfast. But mention it before your arrival.

Do you have a food allergy? No problem. We just adapt your breakfast. Useful to report in advance so that we can take it into account before your arrival and offer a nice alternative.

What time and where will breakfast be served?

What time? We will ask when you arrive. You may choose yourself: some people love to sleep in and some people are early birds. Where? During the winter times in the Fähus or Hölada, during the summer in the “kitchen” outdoors.

Is there a place to have dinner in your village?

Because we live on the countryside opening times of dinner possibilities vary and they are often closed when you arrive. Best to check their FB sites with opening times and menu before you arrive. During the summer opening times are longer. For a more luxurious dinner have great restaurants a bit further away, check our website for recommendations. Note: you often have to book in advance.

How about cancellation, can I cancel my trip?

We want to convey that we have a generous cancellation policy until the next last second. If you want to cancel, contact the booking channel where you have booked. If you have booked directly with us, please contact us. We are not difficult and will find a good solution.

How can I pay, and when will I receive the invoice?

When you book through one of our booking channels, you pay directly to them. If you have booked directly with us, the invoice will be ready on arrival. You can pay by bank transfer (bankgiro), payment- or credit cards, Paypal or Swish. Sure you can pay us in cash, but that is not our preference. For longer stays, we deviate from this and send you an invoice in advance by email, asking for a small deposit, and the final payment must be on our account before arrival.

I want to take a swim, is there a lake?

We have several lakes to choose from, which you can find on a map upon arrival. A nice one with a beach around 15 minutes on foot, 5 minutes by car. During the summer you can take a dip in our swimming pool.

Can we make a campfire?

Yes, when it’s not too dry. We have several options, just ask us.

We want to walk a bit, is that possible?

Of course. The wilderness begins behind us, and Furudal lies before us. We have a booklet ready for you on arrival with 8 walks, most of them starting at our place. Siljansleden/path lies just at the end of our forest. We also have guests who go for a run in the morning. For other activities, check our website.

Is Dalhalla far from Näsets Marcusgård?

Dalhalla, the unique outdoor venue is 45 minutes by car from Näsets Marcusgård.

Is the ice-hockey arena IFK Ore far from your place?

No, just 5 minutes by car, 20 minutes by foot.
